During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to become the tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years until the Chrysler Building in New York City was finished in 1930. Due to the addition of a broadcasting aerial at the top of the tower in 1957, it is now taller than the Chrysler Building by 5.2 metres. Excluding transmitters, the Eiffel Tower is the second tallest structure in France after the Millau Viaduct.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, commonly known as Sacré-Cœur Basilica and often simply Sacré-Cœur, is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Paris, France.
The basilica was designed by Paul Abadie. Construction began in 1875 and was completed in 1914. The basilica was consecrated after the end of World War I in 1919.

The Turlure Park is a garden snail offering its visitors breathtaking views of the Sacré-Coeur and the Montmartre district.
It is located at the corner of the rues de la Bonne and du Chevalier de la Barre. The name comes from that of the old mill that was there in 1770. It was undermined by quarrying and was destroyed in 1827. Its location was occupied by a tavern between 1853 and 1860, called the Tower of Solferino. The park is also called Square Bleustein-Blanchet and occupies an area of just over 4700 m².
